There were just too many sets to choose from. I chose this TV in part due to the great reviews and due in part to the 10% off promotion (through American Express), which made for an attractive price. I'm really glad that I chose this 47" LG. The picture is fantastic. I'm using Dish TV and am not used to high definition (used to have standard def. cable on my plasma set). The detail is great and the colors are brilliant. Even my wife (Ms. "Why do we need a new TV?") keeps commenting on how great the picture is. This evening I watched a DivX file using the USB input and found the interface to be much better than that of my DVD player's USB playback feature. I don't expect top notch audio through TV speakers and therefore haven't been disappointed.

Great options. You will not be disappointed on LG 47LK520. I have owned 4 or 5 Lg products and have never had problems. I would recommend this LCD..
